Xtend PTC elements have been tested extensively both in our labs and by independent 3rd parties. The elements have performed consistently across all test environments and they deliver substantial energy savings when compared to standard spiral resistive elements. Below are extracts from 2 tests comparing  Xtend PTC Ceramic elements with both a 2kW and 3kW standard spiral elements.

This test was carried out to determine the percentage of energy saved when using an Xtend PTC Ceramic element compared to a standard spiral element. The 2kW Xtend PTC element is tested alongside both a 2kW & 3kW standard spiral element.

This test was carried out to determine the final average water temperature in the geyser using a fixed input energy amount (kWh) for various element types. The test aims to show that using the same amount of energy, a higher final average temperature can be reached using the Xtend range. The 2kW Xtend PTC element is tested against a 2kW standard spiral element.
